At the heart of our mission is a deep passion for technology, with a particular focus on the transformative world of virtual and mixed reality (XR). We are driven by the belief that virtual reality is not just a tool, but a gateway to new dimensions of creativity, innovation, and connection.

 

My Passion for Technology - Steve
I graduated in computer science in 2002 and have continued to be involved through to today's advancements. Technology has been my constant companion and source of inspiration.

I've been involved in virtual reality since 2016, with the introduction of the HTC Vive. I was amazed by all the possibilities and power of virtual reality. I invested in a similar device (the HP VR1000) and had all my guests try it out. Unfortunately, these devices required a powerful computer to run.

 

I subsequently continued my journey in this field with the purchase of Google Cardboard, the Samsung Gear VR, and the new Gear VR with a controller. Since these devices only require a cell phone to operate, I began introducing this technology to anyone interested. The response was phenomenal.

Since Oculus released the Quest 1 in 2019, it has revolutionized the ease of accessing an all-in-one virtual reality device, requiring only a Wi-Fi connection for certain applications. Following the Oculus Quest 2, the technology improved so much that Facebook (now Meta) acquired Oculus to develop their latest device, the Meta Quest 3. Equipped with advanced graphics and processor technology, Meta has broken the barrier between viewing a fully virtual world and blending our reality with the virtual one.

 

Embracing Virtual Reality
Virtual reality stands out as the pinnacle of my technological enthusiasm. I view virtual reality as a revolutionary medium that transcends traditional experiences and opens up immersive and interactive worlds. Whether visualizing breathtaking virtual environments, exploring innovative applications, or finding new ways to enhance the user experience, virtual reality is where my heart truly lies.

 

What Drives Me
My motivation comes from the desire to make technology accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I am passionate about breaking down barriers and making complex new technologies, like the Meta Quest 3, accessible and beneficial for everyone. Whether you are a tech enthusiast or someone curious about the possibilities of virtual reality, I am here to guide you on this exciting journey.
